Purpose and Ownership

Hanover County Released Inmates is a private reference site. It holds no official government record, cannot confirm custody, cannot release a person, and cannot file a request or court paper for a visitor.

Its pages help readers locate Pamunkey Regional Jail, Hanover court, VADOC, supervision, and federal resources. Some pages also connect users with independently operated research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors agree to use the site lawfully and without interfering with other people or systems. A visitor must not:

• break a law or legal order;
• stalk, harass, threaten, or harm a person;
• use information for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions;
• seek unauthorized access to any account or system;
• run scraping tools, bots, or automated extraction; or
• disrupt site service or another visitor's access.

FCRA Uses Are Prohibited

Hanover County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither it nor its advertising partners offers screening services. Site information may not be used for:

• hiring, retention, discipline, or firing decisions;
• tenant or housing screening;
• creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
• licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility; or
• another decision regulated by the FCRA.

External Resources

Links may point to Pamunkey Regional Jail, the VADOC locator, court portals, legal-aid information, and independent search services. A link does not mean the destination is endorsed. The outside operator controls its content, data practices, price, and uptime, so visitors should review that operator's terms.

Service Is Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

• information is complete, accurate, or current;
• service will be continuous;
• the pages are free from errors, defects, or security weaknesses; or
• a partner search will return a complete result.

Custody and public-record information can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Pamunkey Regional Jail, VADOC, a sheriff, a court, or another government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site.

User Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use of the site or breach of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Hanover County Released Inmates or the relevant content partner. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where law permits.

Updates to These Terms

The terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the current version.

Access May Be Revoked

Site access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time and without notice, including when a visitor violates these terms or threatens service security.

Virginia Governing Law

Virginia law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Virginia.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
